METALLICA: Video Footage From 'The World Premiere Of Death Magnetic' Posted Online
September 7, 2008METALLICA's official web site has been updated with video footage from the September 4, 2008 special "Metallica: The World Premiere Of Death Magnetic" hosted by FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins and broadcast live from METALLICA's headquarters in San Rafael, California. The 60-minute program, which aired on stations across the country, featured James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo giving fans an exclusive look at "Death Magnetic".
METALLICA's official web site is currently streaming no less than six full songs from the band's forthcoming "Death Magnetic" album. The tracks, which were all premiered during "Metallica: The World Premiere Of Death Magnetic", are as follows:
* "The Day That Never Comes"
* "My Apocalypse"
* "Cyanide"
* "All Nightmare Long"
* "Broken, Beat & Scarred"
* "The Judas Kiss"
Several copies of "Death Magnetic" were sold early at a Paris record store on Tuesday (September 2),which led to the entire album being leaked online within hours.
Due on September 12, "Death Magnetic" will also be available to download for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock the same day that the record is released.
METALLICA will play two low-dough shows in Europe to celebrate the CD's release, in Berlin on September 12 and London on September 15. Tickets for both are priced under $20 and open to fan club members only.
The band will kick off its first indoor North American tour on October 21 in Glendale, Arizona, with shows booked through the end of January.
